The Katsina State Police Command has announced the arrest of 144 suspects and the rescue of 105 kidnapped victims from bandits.

Speaking at the command headquarters, the Police Public Relations Officer , DSP Abubakar Sadiq, disclosed that the arrests were made in connection with 128 reported major crimes, including armed robbery, culpable homicide, kidnapping, and rape. According to DSP Sadiq, the suspects include 16 culpable homicide suspects, 7 armed robbery suspects, 1 suspected informant to bandits, 49 suspected rapists, and 47 others linked to various offences.

Additionally, the police neutralized four suspected armed bandits, rescued 105 kidnapped victims, and recovered 13 suspected rustled animals. Among the recovered exhibits were four locally made guns, 13 pump-action cartridges, and five motorcycles. Commending the efforts of security personnel, DSP Sadiq praised the officers for their hard work and dedication, stating that their commitment has played a crucial role in ensuring a safer Katsina State.
