The Imo State Government on Friday distanced itself from reports that Governor Hope Uzodimma faulted the Appeal Court judgement that acquitted and discharged the embattled leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.
It blamed the opposition People’s Democratic Party and former governor Emeka Ihedioha for allegedly sponsoring fake news to tarnish the image of the governor.
According to him, at no time did the Chief press secretary to the governor or any official of the government speak to the press concerning the Appeal Court judgment.
