The governor made the allegation on Wednesday during a state executive council meeting, stating that the recent clashes between youth gangs in central Kano originated from those seeking to disrupt peace. According to him, confidential information from the state security committee meeting held on Tuesday revealed the names of individuals involved in inciting violence.

Governor Yusuf claimed that opposition parties were not pleased with the peace and progress the state was experiencing, and he assured that his administration would take immediate steps to end the resurgence of gang activities. He stated that his government would not tolerate any attempt to destabilize Kano. He also confirmed that they would collaborate with security agencies to address the activities of troublemakers in the state. The governor announced plans to reopen the rehabilitation center in Kiru local government area to re-educate youths and curb drug abuse in the state. Additionally, Yusuf revealed the government's intention to launch a new Shura Council comprising 46 prominent religious scholars, experts, and influential figures, aimed at advancing the state's development
