ITV have announced a 'huge shakeup' on This Morning as regular hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley will be taking a week break for half-term, with 'new hosts' taking over
This Morning hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley will be taking a well deserved break from the daytime show from Monday 28th October to Friday 1st November, and will be replaced by Friday hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.
Ben and Cat began presenting the ITV daytime show as main hosts in March, following the departure of both Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. Phillip left the show after over two decades in May 2023, while Holly stepped down in October 2023, after 14 years. He also stressed the importance of presenters getting on, as he continued: "The presenters make a difference too. If two people aren’t getting on, the viewers can see that."
Since rising to fame on the reality show over two decades ago, Alison's career has gone from strength to strength. Not only does she front the Friday instalments of This Morning with Dermot, the Birmingham born presenter also hosts Channel 4's The Great British Bake Off.
