The police in Abia have assured the people of the state of their readiness to ensure adequate security in the state.
A statement signed by the Commissioner of Police, CP Janet Agbede, urged residents to disregard the sit-at-home order given by the Indigenous People of Biafra .This is as the Abia State Government said it is actively monitoring the situation with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, an indigene of the state currently under trial at a Federal High Court in Abuja, with a view to ensuring that his fundamental human rights, as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic, are respected.
