“As the second phase of the lockdown ease commence yesterday, we will continue to do our jobs of enforcing the Federal Government’s ban on interstate movement, except for essential services or commodities.”
Mr Samuel Obayemi, FRSC Zonal Commanding Officer in charge of the two states, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday in Lagos that the statistics covered the first phase of the lockdown ease in both states.
“The zone has not relented on its oars in fulfilling our mandates, especially the Federal Government’s order as regards the ban on interstate movement to curb further spread of COVID-19 pandemic. “As the second phase of the lockdown ease commence yesterday , we will continue to do our jobs of enforcing the Federal Government’s ban on interstate movement, except for essential services or commodities,” he said.
The zonal commanding officer urged road users to drive carefully and take responsibility for their own safety on the roads.
