INEC REC: Police aware of places to intensify security during Bayelsa guber poll

Nigeria's independent online newspaper

Obo Effanga, resident electoral commissioner in Bayelsa, says security agencies are aware of areas to intensify protection during Saturday’s governorship election in the state.

He added that the Independent National Electoral Commission would ensure that voting materials are distributed to the appropriate areas for the election. “I have also gotten a briefing from one of the assistant commissioners of police who is closely working with us here in INEC about where the personnel are at the moment and what they intend to do further.
