The Nation Newspaper Bayelsa poll: Sylva makes INEC's list of candidates for governorship election
The commission also said that governorship elections will not hold in two polling units in Bayelsa and 38 polling units in Imo states during the elections.
However, In a statement signed by the National Commissioner in charge of Information and Voter Education, Sam Olumekun, the Commission said that 137,973 party agents have been accredited as polling unit and collation agents for the three states. The statement said: “In continuation of the Commission’s preparations for the three off-cycle Governorship elections in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi States, the Commission is making available two publications on the forthcoming polls.
“The Commission has repeatedly said that elections will not hold in these polling units. No materials have been produced for these locations and no officials will be deployed to them.
