INEC promises free, fair supplementary election in Ekiti READ MORE
The Independent National Electoral Commission in Ekiti State has assured political parties, candidates and stakeholders that the House of Assembly supplementary election billed for March 23 in Ekiti East Constituency I will be free, fair, transparent and credible.
The election is billed for five polling units in the constituency following the declaration of the March 9 House of Assembly poll as inconclusive. Already, results of the remaining 25 state constituencies had been declared and won by APC candidates. He said: “We are prepared for the election and we won’t deviate from the practice of fairness and neutrality to all political parties. We will meet the security agencies this week and brief them on how the conduct will look like so they can plan their own strategies on how to deliver a free, fair and credible election on Saturday.
