Police, INEC react as boat conveying INEC materials capsizes in Delta River
in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State leaving electoral materials with Ad-hoc Staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and Security Operatives missing.
But, reacting the Acting Police Public Relations Officer in Delta State ASP Chucks Orisewezie confirmed that, “a boat loaded with 22 persons which left Ebrohimi community and headed for Koko capsized around Ureju community at about 01:20 hours.“Eighteen persons, including the three policemen have been rescued, while search is still on for the remaining four missing persons.
