INEC issues Certificates of Return to 25 lawmakers-elect in Kogi
The Resident Electoral Commissioner Professor James Akpam who presented the certificates to the State House of Assembly members-elect on Wednesday commended the people of the state for conducting themselves peacefully and lawfully throughout the elections.
Some of the newly elected members who spoke expressed gratitude to the people of the state for giving them the mandate, their party APC and the New Direction Government under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello and his team.DAILY POST reports that, out of the 25 legislative members-elect issued with certificate of return, 6 are returning members.
Hon. Akande while thanking the state government for its unflinching support before, during and after the election, noted that he would leave no stone unturned towards building on his past developmental stride during his tenure as the administrator of Ogori/Magongo LGA.
