Do you feel that the way Question Period is currently functioning is having an impact on how Canadians view Parliament?I was on the bus the other day when a woman came up to me and congratulated me. She said: “I’m really glad you talked about decorum.” She told me she went to Parliament with some visiting relatives, some of them young kids, and she found it hard to stay there. She said, “I hope you can change that.
Everybody expressed a lot of sympathy with the previous Speaker, because it’s a mistake almost any one of us could have made.
