Consultants engaged by the Imo State Internal Revenue Service as Tax Audit Monitoring Agents protested against the non-payment of their 20 per cent commission agreed in their letter of appointment.
They said the state government under Hope Uzodinma had deliberately failed to pay them their commission.
He said the government had refused to pay them 20 per cent commission as enshrined in their contract letter since March, 2020. He stated that they had been asked to apply for their 20 per cent since April, 2020, adding that up till date the government had refused to pay them.
