A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Adeniyi Akintola (SAN), yesterday, said he has quit politics but now supporting presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Tinubu and Governor Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for second term.
Akintola, who spoke with The Guardian in Ibadan, said that while Makinde would win the governorship contest, Tinubu would win the presidency.
He said Makinde is the best among those vying for the seat, adding that he is only concerned with personalities and not political parties. The APC leader said that the Oyo governor had demonstrated to be a good personality with laudable projects. Akintola, while reacting to the photograph he took with the APC gubernatorial candidate, Teslim Folarin, that went viral on the social media, said he only took the photograph with Folarin when he visited him.‘’Obi is a joker. He is a hardsell. He will not get up to five per cent of votes in Yorubaland. Even the PDP will do better than the LP in Oyo and Osun states.”
