The Ekiti State All Progressives Congress , yesterday, inaugurated the party’s State Presidential Campaign Council. The state governor, Biodun Oyebanji, who spoke during the inauguration of the 143-member campaign council in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, cautioned members not to rely on past achievements and must also not be complacent in their efforts at ensuring that the presidential candidate of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is victorious at the February 25, 2023 election.
Oyebanji, who was joined at the inauguration ceremony by the immediate past governor of the state, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, said Tinubu was a benefactor to the progressive family in Ekiti State. In his remarks, Fayemi stressed the importance of peaceful coexistence and unity of purpose to achieve success in the election, noting that Ekiti State electorate were enlightened and could not be taking for granted.
He, therefore, urged all candidates and members of the council not to stage their campaign in Abuja but get back to their wards and constituencies to drive the campaign.
