On July 11, 2020, a 44-year-old man, Confidence Nwokedinma, diagnosed with kidney failure, was reported as begging Nigerians for financial assistance to undergo a kidney transplant. While Azuzu was lucky to get financial support from his colleagues to access healthcare, Mrs. Rashidat Yusuf was not that lucky as she died from childbirth-related complications due to her inability to access quality healthcare.Recall that PUNCH HealthWise had, on July 5, reported that 38-year-old Rashidat died eight days after delivery, leaving her infant, Enitan, motherless.
