Unknown gunmen have kidnapped an official of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, Popoola Olasupo, while on his way to his duty post alongside one other member of the corps.
Efforts to get the reaction of the spokesperson for TRACE, Babatunde Akinbiyi, were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.
Akinbiyi did not answer the calls made to his mobile and had not responded to a text message sent to him. When contacted, however, the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident. “Our anti-kidnapping squad is already after them. We are combing the forest and we know that they will all be arrested.
“Ogun State is not a ground for criminals to settle. It is either they leave or we smoke them out of this state,” Oyeyemi said. All rights reserved.
