Ahmad wondered why Obi would explain his decision to congratulate former Head of State, Yakubu Gowon on his birthday. He noted that the former presidential candidate must believe in Nigeria's oneness or forget about aspiring for any office in politics.
Obi said he congratulated Gowon because he needed to show to the world that the ultimate heroism is forgiving the enemy and moving forward. However, an X post by Ahmad reads: 'If Peter Obi cannot control his harsh and toxic supporters, then he has no business or a place in meaningful political discourse.
