The Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has written to the Jigawa State House of Assembly seeking the confirmation of 16 commissioner-nominees.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Bala Ibrahim.They include; Ibrahim Babangida Umar, Prof. Hannatu Sabo Muhammad, Dr. Muhammad Abdullahi Kainuwa, Aminu Kanta, Ahmed Garba MK, and Ibrahim Garba Hannun Giwa. Others are; Lawan Yunusa Danzomo, Isah Yusuf Chamo, Sagir Musa Ahmed, Hadiza Abdulwahab, Col. Muhammad Alhassan , Nura Ibrahim Dandoka, and Gambo Shu’aibu Mallam.Governor Namadi, in the letter, said that the request for the confirmation of the nominees was by Section 192 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.
