The Governor of Jigawa State, Mallam Umar Namadi, has paid an unscheduled visit to the state’s hospitals to ascertain the quality of services being offered to patients.
The governor’s visit may not be unconnected to public outcry over the poor services in most of the hospitals across the state. The statement reads in part: “In some sections, there was no light as both staff and patients were sitting in the dark, and in some patient wards, there were no window nets to prevent mosquitoes.
