Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has declared that voter registration is no longer merely a civic duty but a compulsory obligation for every eligible citizen in the state.
He charged the committee to ensure that at least 10 million voters are captured in the ongoing nationwide registration exercise. “You should know that your exercise is a Herculean task that requires diligence and dedication. Your mandate is to ensure that Kano registers an additional five million voters by the end of this exercise.”
He further urged the committee to work closely with the Independent National Electoral Commission to guarantee the availability of voter cards.
