Zamfara State Government had on Thursday donated brand new operational Hilux vehicles to all Police Divisional headquarters and their substations. Speaking during the occasion, at the Government House in Gusau, the State capital, Governor Lawal said that the security of lives and properties of the people has been his topmost priority.

He assured that the State government would be responsible for any mechanical fault, fuelling and other financial issues that may hinder the police from carrying out their constitutional responsibility. According to him, no society can strive in an unsecured environment, pointing out that his administration would do everything to see the end of insecurity in the State.

'These gallant security operatives paid the supreme price in their efforts to defend their fatherland. I pray Almighty Allah to forgive their shortcomings and give their families the courage to bear the irreparable loss. Responding, the State Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Shehu Dalinja commended the efforts of the State Government for strengthening the Command through unflinching support to the Command.
