As part of its effort to curb farmers-herders clashes, the Gombe State Government has banned the movement of cattle from other states into Gombe.

The council also banned cattle movement from one local government to the other till January 2023 to maintain food production in the state. ”In view of this, there is a need for government to take serious measures to at least take care of the little we have on our farmers. We intend to restrict the movement of cattle from one local government to another because most of the destruction is done by indigenous cattle in Gombe State.
