FUOYE protest: Varsity sets up probe panel as police arrest two JusticeForFUOYE
The Vice Chancellor, Federal University, Oye Ekiti, Prof. Kayode Soremekun, has approved the constitution of an investigative panel on Tuesday’s protest by the students of the school and attack on Mrs Bisi Fayemi, wife of Governor Kayode Fayemi.
Soremekun confirmed approval of the panel in a telephone chat with journalists in Ado Ekiti on Thursday, just as the Police Commissioner in Ekiti State, Mr Asuquo Amba, said two students had been arrested by the law enforcement agents.
The Police commissioner, Amba, said on Thursday that two students of FUOYE Ekiti had been arrested in connection with the incident, saying two of his men were injured while two police vans were burnt during the attack.
