Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminialayi Fubara, has reaffirmed his commitment to defending the mandate given to him by the people. Fubara made this vow while speaking at the funeral service of late Mrs Erefori Basi Maeba, mother of Senator Lee Maeba, in Luuwa Community, Khana Local Government Area of the state.According to Fubara, the interest of the people remains a top priority for his administration.
He advised residents to focus on endeavours that contribute to the advancement of society, help individuals, and promote peace at all times.The governor also reflected on the importance of honouring one's parents while they are still alive. 'We should, when our parents are alive, also honour them. That is the most important thing,' he said.Fubara commended the children of the late Mrs Maeba for maintaining a good relationship with their mother while she was alive.
