No fewer than 17 people were killed in two separate crashes that occurred in Bauchi State on Monday, PUNCH Metro reports.
The FRSC boss said members of a Joint Task Force comprising the Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, Nigeria Immigration Service and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp who were on patrol at Bursali Ward in Zaki Local Government Area rushed the victims to the General Hospital, Gamawa.
According to the FRSC boss, the second crash occurred also on Monday, at about 5.21pm about 10 kilometres from Yana town, along Yana-Giade Road in Shira Local Government Area. He said, “The crash was caused by speeding. There were 10 adults, eight male adults and two female adults, involved in the accident.
