The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Monday in Kano State alleged that some foreign elements are suspected to be part of the conspiracy by using Boko Haram to destroy the country.

Buhari, who made the disclosure during a lunch, held in his honour at Kano Government House said, “it is unfortunate that Boko Haram stopped the country from tapping its resources in Lake Chad Basin.He recalled how Boko Haram insurgents took over the control of 17 Local Government Areas in Borno State out of the 27 local governments.
