The Nigerian Army troops of Operation Hadin Kai in collaboration with hybrid forces of the Civilian Joint Task Force have killed a top commander of Boko Haram terrorists, Abu Illiya and 31 other terrorists in the Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.

January 29, 2023The terrorists abandoned their properties and weapons with at least 50 bicycles recovered during the raid.

According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert, the terrorists were killed during intelligence-led aggressive fighting patrols in Boko Haram hideouts in Kayamari, Habasha, and Yuwe villages, revealing that troops made contact with the terrorists during a counter-offensive patrol in Yuwe, resulting in a heavy gun battle.

The terrorists abandoned their properties and weapons with at least 50 bicycles recovered during the raid.
