The Kwara State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of five suspects in connection with the alleged murder of the University of Ilorin graduate, Lanre Adebayo, by security men at the Ita-Elepa area of Ilorin, the state capital.

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Ejire Adeyemi Toun, however, said the suspects are all males, contrary to earlier reports that two females were among those arrested. Earlier efforts to reach the police spokesperson proved abortive, as calls and text messages sent to her cellphone were not responded to.
