Five persons died while two others were seriously injured in an accident along the Kaduna-Kafanchan road.
The accident which happened on Sunday morning in the Idon community axis involved a bus with 12 passengers and Golf car with six passengers heading to Kafanchan. A community leader in Idon, Mr James Bayawa, who witnessed the accident while on his way to church service, explained that the accident was a result of overspeeding. According to him, the dead and injured were all taken to St. Gerald Hospital, Kaduna.
The sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps did not pick up his calls for confirmation up till the time of filing this report.
