No fewer than five people have been killed in multiple auto crashes that occurred in the early hours of Saturday at Kili Village, along Darazo-Kari road, Darazo Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
Twelve others sustained various degrees of injuries in the crash that occurred about nine kilometres from the Darazo office, Zebra 45 of the Federal Road Safety Corps.
The FRSC Sector Commander in the state, Yusuf Abdullahi, confirmed the incident to our correspondent on Saturday night. He said the crash involved two vehicles, a commercial Hiace Hummer Bus, Ash in colour which belongs to the National Union of Road Transport Workers and another commercial vehicle, a white Peugeot Boxer.
Abdullahi said, “The crash occurred at RS 12.12 Darazo, Zebra 45 at Kili Village along Darazo-Kari road on Saturday, 14th January, 2023, at about 1.37am. Our men rushed to the scene within nine minutes for a rescue operation.
