A fire incident in Ibadan, Oyo state capital, destroyed property worth millions of naira in four shops at the Tollgate area along the Lagos/Ibadan expressway. Thankfully, no lives were lost.
Property worth millions of naira has been destroyed as a result of a fire incident that ravaged some shops in Ibadan , the Oyo state capital. The incident occurred at the Tollgate area along the Lagos/ Ibadan expressway in the early hours of Friday. It was learnt that no fewer than four shops were affected by the inferno. No life was lost in the incident. The General Manager of Oyo State Fire Service Mr Yemi Akinyinka confirmed the development.
Akinyinka said the incident was reported to the agency around 5.50am. He added that the fire was traced to a naked fire unattended by the woman cooking in one of the four shops affected by the fire
