Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command have arrested one Chukwuemeka Oputa, aka 'Pounds and Dollar', of Umuaka, Njaba, Imo State, who is alleged to be the leader of a gang responsible for a series of armed robberies and other crimes in the nation's capital.
Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT , Police Command have arrested one Chukwuemeka Oputa , aka 'Pounds and Dollar', of Umuaka, Njaba, Imo State, who is alleged to be the leader of a gang responsible for a series of armed robberies and other crimes in the nation's capital. The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said on Monday that the suspects were nabbed on April 4, 2024.
Other gang members, including one Praise Etta of Etung, Cross River State; Rafael Dav A.K.A. Raffy of Guma, Benue State; and Thomas Akange of Markudi, Benue State, were also arrested by the police operatives. Exhibits recovered from the suspects include four locally fabricated AK47 rifles, threeo locally made rifles using cartridges, an English pistol, one locally made pistol, a Dane gun and three AK47 ammunitions, a 5.56mm assault ammunition, and an empty cartridge.
