Friends and fans of a football player identified simply as Jonah are mourning his death in Angwa-Ali community in the Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.His friends and fans, who took to social media to mourn him, said he would be sorely missed.
One Okefu Abraham, who took to his Facebook page to mourn Jonah, said, “Rest in peace… A friend who turns brother… Akwanga will miss u, the Depot football team will miss u, Angwa-Ali will miss u but I will miss u more.” Another friend, Gomma Leonard, also wrote on his Facebook page, “My buddy, my aboki, my brother you promised me to perform with me at the studio if I come home this time. Is that the promise we made buddy, why did you leave me, why so soon buddy? We have been planning to make it in life since primary school up till now but why aboki you leave me with sadness, but wish you dey.
One of his friends, Jacob Gideon, said, “Indeed this is sad news to the entire Angwan Ali community most especially the youth kigbu, Jonah rest in peace with the Lord.” However, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Ramhan Nansel, when contacted by our correspondent, said the matter was not reported to the police.All rights reserved.
