The family of Nigerian singer Innocent (2Face) Idibia has filed a petition with the Department of State Services, alleging his disappearance since February 10. They believe he left for his usual walk but hasn't returned, despite efforts to contact him. Alarming messages from his social media accounts requesting financial aid have raised suspicions of kidnapping.

Anuge said in the petition, “We are writing to urgently seek your assistance regarding a profoundly troubling situation involving a member of the Idibia family, Mr Innocent Idibia , whom our client reasonably believes has been missing since Monday, February 10, 2025. Expressing their deep concern, the singer's family said some relatives and associates of 2Face had received messages from his social media accounts demanding for financial assistance - a suggestion that he might have been kidnapped.
