The Federal Government of Nigeria donated N30 million to the family of late Taiwo Akinkunmi, the designer of the Nigerian flag. The donation, presented by the director general of the National Orientation Agency, Lanre Issa-Onilu, was made as a gesture of appreciation for Akinkunmi's contributions to the country.

On Thursday, January 30, the Federal Government made a N30 million donation to the family of late Taiwo Akinkunmi, the man who designed the Nigerian flag.

Accompanied by Olukemi Afolayan, the Oyo state director of the NOA, Issa-Onilu presented the cheque to Pa Akinkunmi’s family at the Elebu in Ibadan residence of the late national hero.
