According to Yakubu-Funtua, the suspension was due to a conflict among car hike operators at the airport.

FAAN suspends airport taxi services in Abuja airportThe Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria(FAAN) has suspended airport taxi services at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. The suspension, which is with immediate effect, according to FAAN was due to unresolved factional disputes amongst the car hire operators. FAAN explained that the dispute has been affecting airport car hire service operations. This was contained in a statement in Abuja on Thursday by the Director of Public Affairs & Consumer Protection of FAAN, Abdullahi Yakubu-Funtua.
