Former President Goodluck Jonathan has stated that Nigeria is extremely divided, noting that the next Nigerian president must work towards uniting the nation. Jonathan made this assertion on Friday when the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, met with him at his Yenagoa residence in Bayelsa State. Obi and Jonathan on Friday evening held meeting behind closed doors amid the LP candidate’s presidential campaign ahead of the 2023 elections.
