Member of the House of Representatives, representing Ideato North and South Federal Constituency of Imo State, Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere Ikeagwuonu has condemned the incessant attacks in Rivers State.

The lawmaker, who fingered desperate politicians in the state, asserted that no amount of attacks would remove the state Governor, Siminalayi Fubara from office. Ikenga made the assertion in a statement on Wednesday, while reacting to the recent attack on the Rivers State secretariat of the Action Peoples Party, APP, by unknown gunmen suspected to be political thugs.

recalls that gun-wielding political thugs had attacked a facility belonging to the opposition APP in Rivers. The incident occurred a few weeks after a bomb was detonated at the same facility, leading to the partial destruction of the building. Reacting, the lawmaker, who suspected anti-Fubara politicians as the orchestrators of the incessant attacks, declared that not even a nuclear bomb can remove the governor.
