The DVLA has 'clear rules' that motorists must follow to ensure they are fit to drive with the agency revoking hundreds of thousands of licenses due to medical concerns in the past few months.
Motorists have been issued a strict warning that they could lose their driving privileges after the DVLA "revoked" 646,000 licences just two months ago due to medical concerns.
It further clarified the process by stating: "When you reapply for a new licence, DVLA will carry out medical checks to decide if it's safe for you to continue driving. You may be able to continue driving while they do this." "Drivers with car or motorcycle licences should fill out form DIZ1 and send it to the DVLA. The address for submission is provided on the form."
