'We know that in a world where America is, you know, $37 trillion in debt, resources will not be unlimited. Every dollar we can find that isn’t being spent wisely is one we can put towards warfighters. 'So we welcome DOGE at the DOD. We will partner with them, and it’s long overdue. The Defence Department has a huge budget—but it needs to be responsible.' According to reports from the Daily Post, former US President Donald Trump had previously voiced his support for Musk and DOGE to implement cost-cutting measures across various government agencies, including the US Treasury Department and the US Agency for International Development, USAID.
