The Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji said that the death of former Speaker of the Imo State

House of Assembly and Senator who represented Okigwe Zone in the Senate, Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu should serve as a lesson to people.

“There was no sign that he was sick; you can imagine the shock when news broke that he was dead. When I heard the news, I felt it was a politically motivated rumor. “What happened to Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu should be a lesson to everybody because seeing someone healthy and by tomorrow you are told he is dead calls for serious reflection by all”, he empathized.

Chairman of the Committee, Rev Dr Chucks Alozie earlier in his speech said the committee was at the Office of the Speaker to personally pay respect to the Speaker and brief him on the burial plans of the late Senator.
