Govt not against Nnamdi Kanu’s parents’ burial- Okiyi Kalu, Abia Commissioner for Information,
Speaking during a live radio programme, monitored by DAILY POST in Umuahia, the state capital, on Thursday, the State Commissioner of Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, reiterated the government’s readiness to ensure a peaceful and successful burial of Eze Kanu.
His words, “The man contributed to the development of Abia state immensely. Right from the creation date till now, we are proud of his contributions. Having said that, we recognize that his burial is largely traditional event, we will expect peaceful burial of Eze Kanu. That burial is not being organized by groups. That burial is being organized by the traditional council of Isiama Afaraukwu Ibeku, and indeed Afara kingdom.
