The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Otu, has appointed Mr Emmanuel Ogbeche, chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists in the Federal Capital

This was contained in a letter of appointment dated 6 June 2023 signed by Dr Innocent Eteng, Permanent Secretary General Administration in the Office of Secretary to the State Government.

In the same letter appointing Ogbeche, Otu also appointed the former Vice Chancellor of the University of Cross River State, Prof Anthony Owan-Enoh as Secretary to the State Government.
