COVID-19: South Africa To Ease Lockdown Further By End Of May

On May 1 it started to gradually ease confinement measures to level four — allowing citizens to exercise outdoors and certain businesses to partially resume operations. But the president added that parts of the country with high infection rates would remain under alert level four. South Africa has the highest number of coronavirus cases on the continent, with 12,074 infections recorded to date and 219 fatalities.
