COVID-19: President, wife, two aides infected
The President said on Tuesday that he will work remotely while he receives treatment.
“As president of the nation, and a responsible citizen, I want to communicate that during the weekend I started to feel more discomfort and today I was diagnosed as having been infected with COVID-19,” he said in a televised speech, Al Jazeera reports.Hernandez’s wife and two of his aides have also been diagnosed with the disease.
The central American country has so far recorded 9,178 cases of COVID-19 and 322 deaths. The country has also had 1025 patients discharged.
