An Ogba Magistrate’s Court sitting in the Ogba area of Lagos State has ordered the remand of three suspected cult members.
The charges read in part, “That you, Azeez Oladipo, Adekunle Monday, Dabiri Quadru and others still at large on or before November 16, 2022, at Lakue area of Ajah Lagos, in the Lagos State Magisterial District did knowingly, intentionally form, or combine and agree to form and organise an unlawful society or cult named “Kluxklain” confraternity otherwise known as KKK, knowing same to be unlawful.”
The offences were said to be punishable under sections 411 and 2 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015 and the Lagos State Laws on Unlawful Society and Cultism, 2021, respectively. The matter was adjourned till January 31, 2023, pending advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.All rights reserved.
