POLITICS NIGERIA reports that multiple gunshots were fired, and a vehicle burnt as people scampered for safety.Separatists of the Yoruba Nation held their “super mega rally” which led to a confrontation with security operatives.

Men of the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command were immediately mobilised to restore calm to Ojoto and its environs. This newspaper obtained an audio made by Yoruba Nation lead agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as ‘Igboho’, who encouraged proponents of the secessionist movement to come out en masse for the Ojota rally.In July 2021, Igboho was arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic over alleged falsification of his passport.

Prior to his arrest, the Department of State Services had declared him wanted for allegedly stockpiling weapons in his Ibadan, Oyo State residence.
