An Italian woman, Floriana De Stefani, has been jailed for three years for laying claim to a property belonging to her landlord, Waterside Properties Limited, in the Nigerian commercial city of Lagos. The Lagos State Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja handed the jail terms on Friday in a five-count charge filed by Nigerian anti-corruption agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against the convict alongside her Nigerian co-defendant, one Stella Ogboru.

The five-count charge filed on March 30, 2019, bordering on forgery, stealing of property and use of false documents and counterfeit seals, was later amended to six counts.
