Business activities at the Lagos area office of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) have been grounded following roof leaks, thereby leaving the edifice flooded whenever it rains.
The condition of the office, located at Mobolaji Bank Anthony way, Maryland, Lagos, has been in deplorable state, despite promises by officials to renovate the structure.
The office had a lot of computers and other work accessories, and employees were seen covering them with polythene bags to save them from being damaged. The working visit was part of efforts to assess the level of ongoing construction of the 18-storey building, whose construction began 39 years ago . Enajemo- Isire, who had expressed dismay at the deplorable state of the office environment, coupled with leaky roof, urged employees to eschew negative thoughts that are not profitable to the upliftment of the Fund.
